On Sunday April 15th at 1pm, we will be having a work crew on the Beavercreek Fire Dept Communications Van at Beavercreek Fire Station 1 (corner of Dayton Xenia Road and Orchard Lane). For those who are unaware, the Communications Van was started a few years ago with the help of a number of Amateur Radio Operators.
The Van is Modified large former Medic. It has been modified with a 10K PTO driven generator, additional air conditioning, and an impressive antenna/equipment mounting array on its roof. There will be a number of Amateur Radio equipment installed into the van including TWO ICOM 7000’s hooked up to Tarheel Antennas. However, the project  has been stalled out for sometime, for various reasons. It is now a “GO” again and we need to start installing equipment again to bring it into an operational status. Any Amateur Radio operator is invited to help out and become a part of the crew. If you would be able to come out and help, please send me an email at kc8gle@earthlink.net. There is limit on how many can work on the
Van at one time, so sign up early to help out.

WE CURRENTELY HAVE A MAXIMUM NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS. LOOK FOR ANOTHER UPCOMING WORK DAY IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP OUT!!

If you can’t help out now, but want to be a part of the crew, please email as well! Mike Crawford KC8GLE
