On August 13, Scott Myers, AC8DE, will discuss his work on modeling a 160/80 meter antenna array.

The presentation details the design and simulation of a high-gain, dual-band, steerable vertical parasitic array optimized for the 160-meter and 80-meter amateur radio bands. Using computer modelling the design achieves moderate physical size reduction while maintaining high efficiency and low radiation angles. By eliminating the requirement for traditional support towers or heavy concrete foundations, this design significantly reduces construction costs and simplifies compliance with local zoning, permitting, and inspection regulations.

TNG Meetings begin at 7:00pm, Scott’s presentation will  start around 7:30pm.
