 “How I Started MFJ and Its Very Early Days”

Martin F. Jue shares with us what led him to build and develop from scratch a manufacturing business with over 2000 amateur radio products serving hams all over the world. He is the President and Founder of MFJ Enterprises, Inc., the world leader in amateur radio accessories. 2012 marks 40 years of serving the ham radio community. MFJ also owns Ameritron HF Amplifiers, Cushcraft Amateur Radio Antennas, HyGain Rotators and Antennas, Mirage VHF/ UHF Amplifiers and Vectronics, a kit and accessory company.

Martin, was born in Vicksburg, MS, is of Chinese descendant whose great grandfather helped build the Transcontinental Railroad across America in the late 1860s. He grew up in the small Mississippi Delta town of Hollandale, MS and has lived in Starkville, MS for the past 50 years. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University and a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. Martin has been an active ham for 52 years with his original call, K5FLU. Martin Jue and his wife Betty have one daughter, Deanna, 31.
